Pin:Pin is a hybrid, modular, and multifunctional object: it can be a playful game, a utilitarian and decorative piece, or a sculpture.
It is made up of geometric pieces, 3D-printed using plant-based filaments, which connect to each other through a magnetic system.
- As a Playful Game, each piece has a different colour, representing an emotion — Joy, Love, Tranquility, Trust, but also Sadness, Anxiety, Anger, and Shame. By choosing the colour of the feeling one wishes to express, Pin:Pin becomes a mediator for conversations between parents and children, friends, colleagues, or peers.
- Each piece in the collection also stands on its own as a Functional and Decorative object. It can be used as a vase, desk organiser, pencil holder, or whatever the imagination dictates.
- Sculptural and Evolving, Pin:Pin can be rearranged daily, adapting to the moods and creativity of its users.
Its 3D-printed pieces are hand-covered in leather using a technique called “gainerie”, which consists of applying leather to a rigid object in such a way that the joints are imperceptible.
