Empower the next generation of Leather Goods Designers & Makers
All courses are suitable for beginners and designed so that you can take away your new skills and continue to make more leather goods at home.
They are run by Stéphanie, who has working experience in footwear/leather goods industry and architecture. She first started by making handmade shoes in Paris and became a Production Manager for several national & international brands in Portugal.
As a designer, pattern maker, and self-taught craftswoman, she now wants to pass on the passion for Leather that has run in her blood for 3 generations.
The Technique we teach is called ” Saddle stitch” or “Couture Sellier”.
The traditional technique we teach is called “Saddle Stitch” or “Couture Sellier”, and is used by the renowned Maison Hermès.
Therefore the products are produced and stitched without using any machinery.
We choose to manufacture with leather because, for now, leather is a meat industry by-product, so it still must be treated and transformed. Beyond that, leather is also a very resistant material therefore long-lasting. That is why our low-impact goods are made to last generations.
